If you want to enjoy some of the most unforgettable experiences in recreational diving, in the Dominican Republic its the freshwater caverns with incredible geological constructions that you cannot miss. I have dived in Mexico so did know what to expect Normally the journey from Punta Cana where I was staying for my second week is one hour to reach Bayahibe. However as I was staying close for the first part of my holiday it was just a few minuets drive to Cotubanamá National Park where you find two of the best known caverns in the area, Padre Nuestro and Chicho. Milan my dive guide was great and gave me another great cave diving experience
Obviously I also took time to make some dives in the sea, there is not much fish life in caves just bats
