The over 65 Clarets played in the Essex league cup finals on Tuesday 21st October at Billericay. They had a very hard semi-final group with Waking, Little Oakley, and Billericay. They won 2-0 against Billericay and then had an excellent game against eventual cup winners Wakering but lost 1-0. The final group game against Little Oakley , would essentially decide who went into the 3rd place play-off final – the lads won 1-0. The 3rd place play-off final was against Eastwood Falcons which Chelmsford won 2-1. It was a very disciplined and professional performance across all four games with the lads deservedly taking third place. A great team performance.
