World Cup Walking Football Networking Event Chelmsford City Football Club 23rd June 2026 This was a great opportunity for local businesses to learn and play walking football at Chelmsford City with Spencer Pratten. Spencer, England Captain was recently awarded World Cup Player of the Year and winner of the National and World Cup for the second time. A BBC interviewer introduced him as the “Lionel Messi of walking football” Teams playing on the Chelmsford City pitch especially set-up with three pitches. Each game was refereed by members of Chelmsford City Walking Football with Spencer on hand to provide advice and encouragement So now sit back and watch one of the games played at temperatures similar to some games currently being played in the USA, Mexico and Canada. The pitch sprinklers added to the humidity.
