In 2012 Bob Willis wrote the first textbook on the use of Pin in Hole Intrusive Reflow (PIHIR) which was circulated worldwide by IConnect007 magazine. It covered design, assembly, inspection and reliability testing along with common process defects seen on through hole reflow. Assembling through hole parts with solder paste

This webinar provides an update on the use of through hole reflow with high and low temperature solder paste plus experience gained on jetting paste and other processes trials conducted in the last few years

If you sign up to the webinar you will receive a FREE link to download the original eBook written by Bob Willis from IConnect plus a copy of the slides presented during the webinar. Prior to the book Bob produced the first interactive CD and training video on design and assembly with through hole reflow and the many different options that exist with the process

In preparation for the event and to ensure you are equipped to get maximum benefit from the event, read our Webinar Guide

Presented by Bob Willis

Our update webinar includes:
Overview of PIHIR design, assembly and inspection
Use of high & low temperature solder paste
Jetting paste as an alternative to stencil printing
Using solder preforms & solder bricks
Video reflow simulation
Solder joint reliability
Examples of common process defects and solutions

After the webinar there is a Q&A session which provides ample time for all delegate questions to be answered. However, if a delegate has a process example, they would like covered in the webinar, it will need to be provided in advance of the session

The webinar will run for between 60-90min with question and answer session. The webinars are limited to 100 delegates/companies. A copy of each of the slides presented will be provided in pdf format after the webinar
